Guwahati: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) announced on Friday that India had recorded 6,298 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases in the nation down to 46,748.
The new cases were found from 3,33,964 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 89.09 crores.
The total number of deaths caused by COVID-19 in India has now reached 5,28,273.
In addition, 5,916 Covid-19 recoveries in India were noted in the previous day, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,39,47,756.
Notably, the percentage of active cases is currently 0.10 and the healing rate is 98.71%. Both the daily and weekly positive rates are 1.89 and 1.70 percent, respectively.
With 19,61,896 doses distributed in the last 24 hours as part of the statewide vaccination effort, the nation has now received 216.17 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
