The festival of Vishwakarma Puja, which honours the god of construction and art, is observed all over Assam.
The Indian states of Karnataka, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and Tripura are the ones that celebrate Vishwakarma Puja the most. Lord Vishwakarma, also known as Biswakarm, is honoured on this day. On this day, worshippers conduct Vishwakarma puja at their workplaces, factories, and offices.
To commemorate the birth of Lord Vishwakarma, the architect, Vishwakarma Puja is held. He is referred to in the Rig Veda as the world’s architect, having mastery of both architecture and mechanics.
According to tradition, he also constructed the Pandava Maya Sabha as well as the holy city of Dwarka, which was home to Lord Krishna. Lord Vishwakarma is renowned for producing a wide variety of exquisite weapons for the Gods.
