Guwahati: A massive shipment of Burmese areca nuts valued over Rs. 50 lakhs was seized at Guwahati Railway Station on Sunday
The Government Railway Police reportedly seized up to 40 sacks and one box full of areca nuts from one bogie of the Rajdhani Express.
The police said that the recovered nuts were smuggled from Dimapur in Nagaland and are estimated to be worth more than Rs. 50 lakhs.
