Telangana: 27 Children Hospitalised In Suspected Food Poisoning Incident In Adilabad

Guwahati: As many as 27 children were taken to the hospital in Telangana’s Adilabad after complaining of nausea and vomiting, reports stated.

They were rushed to the hospital right away following what authorities believe to be a case of food poisoning.

“Last night, 27 children from the Kaga Nagar Minority Boys Hostel Gurukul were admitted to a nearby hospital complaining of vomiting and nausea,” said Adilabad District Magistrate Prabhakar Reddy. We are looking into the situation and a thorough investigation has been ordered.

As a result of a staffing shortage, the cooks reportedly skipped washing the rice and other ingredients before cooking, which led to the tragedy.

Further investigations in the matter is underway.

They had visited the health camp at the Pihani Community Health Centre (CHC). The girls reportedly began to feel queasy and complained of stomach problems after leaving the camp.

The girls claimed that the hospital gave them the incorrect medication.

According to Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Swati Shukla, “After the therapy, 32 youngsters felt fine and were released home. While the six other kids have been moved to a public hospital for treatment.”

She added that the incident’s precise cause will be looked at and that the entire issue is being followed.

“We will investigate what caused this, whether it was because of food poisoning or happened because of taking medicine,” added SDM Shukla.
