Assam: 2 Arrested with Fake ID Cards for Appearing CRPF Recruitment Exam
Guwahati: Two candidates were arrested by the police after they arrived at Jorabat in Kamrup Metropolitan district of Assam to take a recruitment exam using false identification.
The two applicants travelled to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp at 9th Mile in Guwahati to take an examination on Wednesday.
The two were hailed from Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh but had phoney identification cards made up that showed they lived in Assam.
The two were turned over to the Jorabat Police after being caught in the act by locals.
When questioned by authorities, the pair admitted that they had bought the bogus ID cards by paying brokers Rs 3 lakhs.
