Assam CM To Distribute Appointment Letters In Mass Gathering Today

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will distribute appointment letters to the newly hired employees in 21 departments of the state government on Friday.

The Assam Chief Minister will present letters to 11,202 candidates who passed the state-level exams to be assigned to various government departments at a formal ceremony held at the Veterinary Field at Khanapara in Guwahati.

Newly hired employees from all over the state arrived  to Guwahati early this morning while this is the second time that mass appointment letters have been distributed.

Taking to Twitter CM Sarma said, “We commit, we deliver- Major milestone in our drive to ensure one lakh jobs in Assam. Following 27,737 successful recruitments, GoA will now hand over appointment letters to 11,202 candidates in 21 govt depts on September 23, 2022, in a ceremonial function in Khanapara, Guwahati.”

The department responsible for home and political departments will receive the majority of the new hires overall This will be followed by 3,811 in school education and 927 in higher and technical education.

A further 304 additional hires would be made in the public works department (PWD), 299 in health and family welfare, 277 in panchayat and rural, and 137 in irrigation, respectively.

Additionally, 33 new applicants will join the department of the environment and forests, while the remaining 24 candidates will join the department of skills, jobs, and entrepreneurship. The departments of youth welfare and transportation will be appointing 13 applicants, and the development department will be appointing 11 people.

The handloom and textiles, collaboration, information, and public relations, as well as the skill, employment, and entrepreneurship departments, are the other departments that will hire new employees.
