Guwahati: Massive fires decimated property worth lakhs in Assam’s Kamrup Metro and Meghalaya’s Ri Bhoi district on Monday.
The incident took place at a rubber factory in 11 mile of Jorabat.
Firefighters were dispatched from Assam and Meghalaya to put out the fire.
It is suspected that mechanical failure was to blame although the specific origin of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
