Guwahati: In a tragic incident, at least 10 tourists including three students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Varanasi were killed after a traveller bus fell into a gorge in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh on Monday.
Meanwhile, 10 other people were injured in the collision that happened on Sunday at about 8:30 o’clock in Ghiyaghi in the Banjar subdivision.
First aid was administered to the injured at Banjar Hospital before they were referred for further care to Kullu Regional Hospital.
Banjar’s MLA the district administration and the villagers were thanked by Banjar Surender Shourie for carrying out the rescue efforts despite the darkness.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Union minister Anurag Thakur, who hails from the state, both expressed their sorrow over the tragedy.
