In J&K, a Pakistani terrorist connected to JeM was killed

Guwahati: At Welsbatapura hamlet in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army and security personnel on Monday killed a Pakistani terrorist connected to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

The terrorist who was killed was named as Abu Hurrarah. On receiving specific intelligence about the presence of suspected terrorists in Kulgam, the Indian Army, J-K Police, and CRPF conducted a joint cordon and search operation in the region at around 1:45 p.m. on September 26, according to PRO (Defence), Srinagar.

“The security officers quickly set up a cordon around the suspected group of homes in the village. The Security Forces began removing the local population to a safe area after suspecting one to two terrorists inside one of the houses. In an effort to take advantage of a window of opportunity to flee, the terrorist started indiscriminate fire targeting people, as was seen in past operations as well. The forces accelerated the evacuation procedure, sensing the threat to civilian life and neglecting personal safety, while simultaneously pinning the terrorist with precise fire “”, the PRO added.

According to the official, an officer was shot while trying to pull bystanders out of the fighting zone. He was then sent to Srinagar’s base hospital.

“When the terrorist attacked two individuals with grenades, they both suffered splinter wounds. One of them was taken to the 92 Base Hospital by ambulance “”, the PRO stated.

“Army executed a determined operation to neutralise the terrorist after receiving positive confirmation that there were no civilians in the area of the target residence. The terrorist was later neutralised, and Abu Hurrarah, a Pakistani citizen and ardent supporter of the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist group, has been named by JKP as the assailant.
