Guwahati: The Hojai district’s deputy commissioner (DC) and additional deputy commissioner (ADC) were suspended on Wednesday with immediate effect.
Hojai DC Anupam Choudhury and ADC Raktim Baruah have been suspended immediately for acting inappropriately toward residents.
The two bureaucrats were suspended following specific orders from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
According to reports, the CM took harsh action against the DC and ADC after receiving numerous complaints against them.
