Guwahati: Raijor Dal general secretary Lohit Gogoi requests to resign from his position in a letter to party leader Akhil Gogoi.
The letter claims that Gogoi has chosen to leave the party for personal reasons.
Lohit Gogoi ran for the Mahmara Assembly district in 2021.
Senior Raijor Dal leader and spokesperson Bhaben Handique announced his departure from the party in a lengthy message on social media earlier this month.
Handique held that post as the party’s state secretary. He served as both the party’s RTI cell’s and leadership committee’s convener.
Handique explained in a lengthy Facebook post that his job in the party had become stagnant, which had been driving him crazy for a while.
