Carcass Of Wild Tusker Found At Assam’s Rangjuli Field

Guwahati: The carcass of a wild tusker was found in Rangjuli of Assam on Friday.

The carcass was reportedly found by residents at a field in Kankata near Rangjuli in Goalpara district of Assam early this morning.

It is suspected that the elephant left the jungle in quest of food. However, it is not immediately evident what caused the death.

Forest department representatives have not yet arrived to the scene despite being informed.
