Guwahati: A lawyer was arrested on Saturday in Guwahati for providing the police forged court paperwork for bail.
The advocate identified as Pratik Mazumdar, allegedly gave a suspect at the Pragjyotishpur Police Station bogus bail documents.
Additionally, Pratik falsified the Additional District Judge’s signature on the paperwork.
The accused, whose fabricated bail papers were utilised, reported the attorney to the Pan Bazar Police Station for supplying forged documents.
Notably, the suspect was detained in accordance with a provision of the Arms Act.
