Guwahati: A few criminals ransacked and looted a pan shop in broad daylight on Sunday in Guwahati.
Four to five robbers entered the store in the Zoo Road area pretending to be Crime Branch officials and to smoke cigarettes.
Reports said that the robbers threatened him with drug packages before robbing him of between 60,000 and 70,000 rupees.
When they were apprehended, they pretended to be from the crime section and that they were trying to catch the drug dealer in the act of selling drugs.
They also abused the language when the locals captured them.
The police was informed about the incident however, they did not arrive at the scene.
