Guwahati: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP) Mulayam Singh Yadav, died on Monday in Gurugram hospital. And it was confirmed by his son Akhilesh Yadav.
For the past few days, the SP leader had been in critical condition and on life-saving drugs.
Mulayam Singh Yadav was born on November 22, 1939 and is one of Uttar Pradesh’s most prominent leaders, having served as Chief Minister three times and as Minister of Defence in the Union Government. He was elected 10 times as MLA and 7 times as Lok Sabha MP.
Sadhna Gupta, the patriarch of the Samajwadi Party died in July this year after being undergoing a lung infection at a private hospital in Gurugram.
