Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, a labourer in Assam’s Karimganj district was electrocuted to death.
The incident took place close to New Karimganj Railway Station on the national highway on Friday.
The labourer has been identified as Moinul Islam.
Moinul reportedly unintentionally touched a live wire, which led to his death on the spot.
Locals in the area claimed that the terrible tragedy was caused by the electricity department’s incompetence.
