Guwahati: Terrorists killed a civilian in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
As per reports, terrorists opened fire a Kashmiri Pandit who is identified as Puran Krishan Bhat, as he was making his way to an orchard at Chowdari Gund in Shopian.
Reportedly, Bhat was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but was declared dead due to his injuries.
“#Terrorists fired upon a #civilian (minority) Shri Puran Krishan Bhat while he was on way to orchard in Chowdari Gund #Shopian. He was im humidiately shifted to hospital for treatment where he #succumbed. Area cordoned off. Search in progress, (sic)” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
Security forces have cordonned off the area and started a search operation to trace the terrorist.
