Guwahati: A youth in Majuli of Assam died at a hospital on Wednesday following the high-profile passing of a young musician who was supposedly the victim of medical malpractice. This is the second such event to occur for the same reason.
The incident reportedly occurred at Pitambar Dev Goswami Civil Hospital in Garmur.
The deceased’s family claims that despite numerous attempts to reach them at the emergency number “108,” they were unable to obtain ambulance services.
Additionally, they said that the victim, Aditya Payeng lost his life as a result of a technician being absent from the ICU ward.
After complaining of severe chest pain, Payeng had been rushed to the hospital where he died, after which the family accused of negligence and lack of treatment on the part of the hospital authorities.
