Another Death Due to Medical Negligence
Guwahati: A person in Assam’s Majuli died due to lack of ambulance facility on Friday.
The deceased’s family members claim that despite numerous attempts to reach emergency number “108,” they were unable to obtain ambulance services.
The deceased has been identified as Holiram Saikia, a resident of Mazgaon. The patient had complained of breathing issues brought on by chest pain.
The patient’s relatives tried to call “108” ambulance services to take him to the hospital, but he passed away at home due to unbearable chest agony.
This is the third death in Majuli that is allegedly the result of medical malpractice following the deaths of Tejaswita Baruah and Aditya Payeng.
It may be mentioned that just one day ago, a youth identified as Aditya Payeng lost his life as ambulance services could not be availed even after repeatedly trying to contact on emergency number ‘108’.
