Massive Fire breaks out at forest colony

Guwahati: A major fire broke out at a forest colony in Naharlagun near Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.

Property worth lakhs of rupees was damaged by the fire that started at the forest colony in Naharlagun near Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh.

Several fire tenders were called into service to put out the fire.

According to latest reports, the fire has been brought under control.

The region was completely covered in the dark smoke coming from the fire.

The fire initially started in one of the homes at the forest colony in Naharlagun, an area of Arunachal Pradesh close to Itanagar.

There have been no casualties associated with the incident so far.

“The Kutcha housing unit’s 15 rooms were destroyed by the fire. Many essential documents and properties worth lakhs of rupees belonging to the residing family have been destroyed, a local told reporters.

It has not yet been determined what started the fire.
