Guwahati: Thieves allegedly looted the Gaon Panchayat President’s residence in Bongaigaon district of Assam in the early hours of Sunday.
Reports claim that the dacoits sprayed anaesthetic on Rafia Khatun Mazumdar’s family members in Jogighopa’s Kabaitari to render them unconscious.
They looted money, gold jewellery, and many other valuable items worth Rs. 10 lakhs.
The family members have been admitted to Goalpara Hospital for better treatment.
It needs to be mentioned that the police have arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the matter.
