Assam CM: Schools to be Demolished and Renovated

Guwahati: As many as 1,000 new school buildings willbe re-established in AssamThe chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma stated this on Sunday.

He stated that 1,000 school buildings would be renovated and demolished.

According to CM Sarma, the government will invest Rs. 5,000 crores in new school infrastructure with a goal of having the project finished by 2026.

New classrooms in a row on the school grounds, playground equipment in extra locations and other improvements are all part of the restoration of the schools.

Later, 3,000 more schools will be upgraded.

He stated that 4,000 schools across the state are to have their infrastructure upgraded.

Earlier today, CM Sarma visited few schools in Guwahati when he made this announcement.

Two schools in his district will be upgraded in the first phase.

The first phase’s renovated schools will be referred to as model school.

CM Sarma visited his old school Kamrup Academy and became nostalgic. He took to Twitter and said, “Visited Kamrup Academy, Guwahati, and reviewed its infrastructure. Established in 1930, I had the privilege of seeking education from this historical institute in my childhood. The school building will be reconstructed and also get a new auditorium.”
