Guwahati: The Officer in Charge (OC) of the Kakotibari Police Station in Assam’s Charaideo was placed on administrative leave immediately On Sunday.
According to reports, accusations of negligence while performing official duties led to the police official’s suspension.
The officer in charge of Kakotibari Police Station, Sarath Saikia has been identified as the accused cop.
Meanwhile, it has come to light that a group of miscreants attacked a female student at Japidhara. Police reached the site of the incident very late even after doing repeated calls for help. Following the incident, the OC of the police station Saikia was suspended due to accusations of carelessness.
