“Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” Celebrated By Assam Rifles On Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Birth Anniversary

Guwahati: “Rashtriya Ekta Divas” was celebrated at Aizawl, Lunglei, and Serchhip on Monday to mark the 147th anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth. This was done under the supervision of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), as per the official statement.

According to the official statement, a number of events were planned as part of the week-long commemoration, including a lecture on Ekta Diwas, a painting competition, a weapon exhibition, a march past, a flower tribute and an Oath taking.

As per the officials, the event’s purpose was to offer a chance to proclaim the inherent resilience and power of our country to overcome threats to its unity, integrity, and security, both present and future.

Locals in Mizoram were also informed at the event that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s efforts to unify the country are honoured by observing National Unity Day.

According to the official declaration, the BJP government designated October 31 as “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas,” or the National Unity Day, in 2014. The “Iron Man of India” is Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, who is known for his contributions to national cohesion. The Mizoram residents expressed their sincere gratitude for the actions taken by the Assam Rifles.
