Guwahati: As many as five persons were severely injured in a head-collision accident in Darrang district of Assam on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place at Sipajhar of the district.
According to reports, the injuries were caused by a head-on collision between an ambulance and an approaching tanker truck in the Bordouguri area.
No fatalities had been reported up until the time this report was filed.
The injured were rushed immediately after the incident to a nearby hospital for treatment.
It has been learned that the ambulance was travelling from Guwahati to Mangaldai when the incident occurred.
