Prez Murmu to Begin Her Visit to Nagaland, Mizoram & Sikkim Today
Guwahati: The president of India Droupadi Murmu will travel to Nagaland, Mizoram and Sikkim as part of a four-day trip.
Droupadi Murmu will attend the civic celebration held in her honour by the Nagaland government in Kohima on November 2. She will also officially launch/lay the cornerstone for a number of infrastructure and education-related projects in the state during that time.
The President will visit Kigwema village on November 3, 2022, to pay her respects at the Kohima War Cemetery, and she will speak with SHG members and Village Council members there. She will preside over the 17th convocation of the Mizoram University in Aizawl on the same day as she launches other initiatives pertaining to education in the Mizoram state. She would also be present at the civic event held by the Mizoram government in her honour that evening at the Raj Bhavan in Aizawl.
The President will speak to the Mizoram Legislative Assembly in Aizawl on November 4, 2022. She will inaugurate or lay the cornerstones for several projects of the Central and State governments on the same day, as well as attend a civic banquet organised by the Government of Sikkim in her honour.
Before departing for Delhi on November 5, 2022 the President will meet with women entrepreneurs and SHG participants in Tathagatha Tsal, Ravongla.
