Assam Police Seize 8,000 Litres of Crude Oil Condensate, 4 Held
Guwahati: In a major crackdown against illegal condensate oil, the Assam Police seized 8,000 litres of crude oil condensate in Dibrugarh district of Assam.
Four persons have also been arrested in connection to the seizure.
The arrestees identified as Dipak Changmai, Tilak Dihingia, Rajen Dihingia (driver) and Bhuban Bora (helper).
The stolen condensate oil was seized form an oil tanker near Bogibeel Bridge.
It is learned that the tanker was en route Dhemaji from Naharani in the Sivasagar district before being intercepted.
Reportedly, the condensate oil was allegedly stolen from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)’s crude oil transportation pipelines by tampering with it.
