Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a student was allegedly killed in a road accident in Baihata Chariali in Kamrup Rural district of Assam on Wednesday.
The incident took place at Deoduar in Baihata.
The deceased girl has been identified as Pallabi Sarma was a resident of Gandhi Basti in Guwahati.
According to reports, Pallabi was riding her scooter from Guwahati to Baihata to take the ASOS test at the Karara Senior Secondary School.
Her scooter was struck from behind by an unidentifiable vehicle, which then fled from the spot. The girl died on the spot after the accident.
