Assam CM Sarma Announces Rs 300 Cr For AMCH On Platinum Jubilee
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the Assam Medical College and Hospital’s (AMCH) Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Dibrugarh.
The CM Sarma gave a speech during the occasion and made a significant announcement. He declared that the state government will contribute Rs 300 crores for housing for the medical college’s faculty and students.
It should be noted that the prestigious institute is commemorating its 75th anniversary today. The Assam Chief Minister praised the institute for its superior medical care earlier in the day on Twitter.
He wrote, “A pioneer healthcare institution of our region, Assam Medical College & Hospital, Dibrugarh has set new benchmarks in medical excellence during its 75 years of existence. My warm greetings to staff, students & everyone associated with @AMCHDibrugarh on its #PlatinumJubilee.”
