Former CJI to Provide Scholarship to 19 Law Students of Assam on Nov 6

Guwahati: Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha and would use the money from his salary and benefits to fund the education of deserving and needy law students in Assam and other regions of the nation.

The scholarship recipients for the academic year 2022–2023 are 19 students from various law colleges in Assam and 10, who are studying law at various national law institutes across the nation.

The scholarship cheques to the students of the law colleges of Assam will be distributed by the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Rashmin Manoharbhai Chhaya on November 6 (Sunday).

The event will take place in Guwahati’s National Law University Seminar Hall at 11:30 am.
