Guwahati: In a shocking incident, one person has been arrested for allegedly attempting to kidnap a student in Maligaon of Guwahati.
The incident took place on Monday at the Maligaon Lower Primary School.
According to reports, the accused who is a BSF jawan from Bihar allegedly attempted to kidnap the student from the school’s grounds.
The accused has been identified as Sudhangshu Kumar.
He was caught by a group of people outside the boundaries of the school.
The jawan was taken into custody when the Jalukbari Police arrived at the scene of the incident.
The police also suspect the involvement of a woman along with the jawan.
Further investigations have been launched.
