Guwahati: The Assam government is reportedly considering launching a taxi service App for the city of Guwahati in the midst of the issue surrounding the App-based cab services like Ola and Uber.
Notably, the Assam government’s decision to introduce an app-based taxi service in Guwahati comes in response to several complaints from both drivers and passengers.
Cab drivers have been complaining about application aggregators, while passengers have been complaining about the behaviour of the drivers.
The Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) will reportedly launch the government taxi service App.
In Guwahati, many consumers have been dissatisfied with the sky-high prices charged by taxi services like Ola and Uber.
