“Drink Alcohol, Smell Thinner…But Save Water,” Says BJP MP On Water Conservation
Guwahati: A peculiar remark regarding Rewa’s water conservation was made by Janardan Mishra, a member of parliament (MP) for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
“Water is running out on the land; it needs to be conserved. Eat gutka, drink alcohol and sniff thinner, sulesan (a type of glue), or take iodex, but remember to drink plenty of water in between, “During a workshop on water conservation, Janardan Mishra said.
The workshop was organised at Rewa Krishnaraj Kapoor Auditorium in the district on Sunday. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
According to the viral video, he further said, “If any government announces to waive the water tax then do tell them that we will pay the water tax and you may waive the rest of the taxes, including electricity bills.”
Mishra had previously made headlines on several occasions. His unexpectedly unusual words and actions kept him in the news. He was shown in a recent viral video scrubbing a toilet with just his bare hands.
