Nepal Earthquake Tremors Felt In Delhi & Uttarakhand
Guwahati: The tremors of the 6.3-magnitude earthquake in Nepal were felt in Uttarakhand and India’s capital New Delhi in the early hours of Wednesday.
The national capital and surrounding areas felt the earthquakes at roughly 1.57 am.
Early on Wednesday, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake was also felt near Pithoragarh, Uttarkhand.
Pithoragarh in the Indian state of Uttarakhand felt the earthquake’s jolts at a depth of 5 kilometres.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:4.3, Occurred on 09-11-2022, 06:27:13 IST, Lat: 29.87 & Long: 80.49, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India,” the National Center for Seismology (NCS) tweeted.
A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal today at around 1:57 am leaving at least six people dead.
According to the NCS, the earthquake’s epicentre was located at Dipayal in the Doti area and its depth was 10 kilometres.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 6.3, Occurred on 09-11-2022, 01:57:24 IST, Lat: 29.24 & Long: 81.06, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Nepal,” NCS reported.
