Over 8.31 lakh voters In Mizoram In draft voters list

Guwahati: The draft voter lists released on Wednesday show that there are over 8.31 lakh registered voters in Mizoram, including 4.27 lakh female voters.

Female voters outnumbered male voters by 23,418 in Mizoram.

According to the draft voter lists released by the Mizoram election administration, there are 8,31,272 registered voters overall, 4,03,927 of whom are men and 4,27,345 of whom are women.

There are 5071 service voters, including 87 women in the state.

According to Mizoram’s joint chief electoral officer David Liansanglura Pachuau, the draft electoral rolls were developed for a special summary revision of the voters’ lists to cover those who will turn 18 on January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1 of 2023.

With 12 assembly constituencies, Aizawl district has the most voters (2,76,657), followed by Lunglei district in south Mizoram (96,944).

The Mizoram Lunglei district has six assembly districts.

Hnahthial district in Mizoram, which was just established in 2019, has the fewest electors, 15,694.

The last date for filing claim (inclusion) and objection is fixed on December 8.

The final voter list for the special summary revision will be made public on January 13 of the following year, according to Pachuau.

In Mizoram, there are 1267 polling locations and 40 assembly districts.
