Guwahati: A father-son duo was arrested in Goroimari town in Kamrup district of Assam for allegedly killing a Guwahati based businessman.
According to reports, the two abducted a businessman in Guwahati later killed him and then dumped his body in the River Brahmaputra.
It is suspected that the kidnapping was done in an effort to extort money from the businessman.
Notably, the police discovered the dead businessman’s cellphone that was in the duo’s possession when they were apprehended.
According to the police, there may be more people involved in the crime and an investigation unearth further linkages is on.
