Guwahati: A man suspected of killing his wife has been arrested by the Guwahati police from Hatigaon area on Friday night.
The arrested person identified as Hussain Ali Ahmed.
According to reports, Hussain was arrested from Juripaar area yesterday night.
Reportedly, Hussain fatally bludgeoned his wife for reasons that are now unknown. The police informed that he will be thoroughly questioned.
The deceased woman has been identified as Sumi Begum.
According to authorities, the arrest was made as a result of a complaint submitted by the woman’s relatives to the Hatigaon police station.
It has been revealed that the couple got married 12 years ago. It is still unknown why the husband took such drastic measures.
