First Dengue Case Reported in Assam’s Cachar
Guwahati: A new and first case of dengue has been recorded from the Cachar district as the dengue outbreak in Assam continues to spread.
A member of the Chibita Bichia tribe in Cachar contracted the illness after returning from Bangalore.
The Silchar Medical College and Hospital is currently caring for the patient.
Meanwhile, the district’s first dengue case has the government on edge. The district government has implemented preventative steps to curb the disease’s spread.
A meeting was held to go over the various approaches to fighting the disease at the District Commissioner’s office.
The district administration has also urged residents to exercise basic caution and remain vigilant.
