Guwahati: In a shocking incident in the city, yet another dead body of a young woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in VIP road area of Guwahati on Saturday.
The body of the young woman was found at a house in Barbari area.
According to reports, the woman worked as a domestic help at the house.
The identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained.
The cause of the woman’s death has not been determined yet.
Following the recovery of the body, local police and sleuths of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) reached the scene and sent the body for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
Notably, cases of murder are on a rise in the city with several cases of heinous murders having been reported in the past couple of months. The latest incident highlights the need to strengthen vigil in the city.
