Domino’s Dacoity Is An Inside Job, Says Top Guwahati Cop
Guwahati: The dacoity incident that occurred earlier in the day at a Domino’s Pizza outlet was clarified on Wednesday by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), East of Guwahati, APS Sudhakar Singh, who claimed that someone from the inside was associated with the matter.
The top police official reported that there are no working CCTV cameras at the Domino’s outlet at Nayanpur in the Ganeshguri locality. He continued that there has been no door locking system at the outlet for the past one-and-a-half years.
APS Singh said, “Their duty hours go until 4 am. The manager left, and the group of thieves showed up there after about five minutes.”
“The gang restrained a worker called Jiten Barman and demanded access to the store’s cash box. With the equipment they had at the business, they attempted to unlock the cash box, but they were unable,” he added.
APS Singh further informed that the employee, Jiten Barman was found still lying inside the store the next morning. When other staff arrived at around 9:00 am, they found him bound and released him.
