Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly killed by her son in Dibrugarh district of Assam.
The incident was reported from at Changmai Gaon under Lahowal police station in Dibrugarh district of Assam.
The deceased identified as Renu Das and the accused son, Jintu Das allegedly killed his mother for not buying him a mobile phone.
Police arrested the accused boy and put him behind the bars.
Assam Police further informed that after killing his mother, the boy took Rs 16,000 and fled from the scene. He was arrested from his hiding place at Chandmari ghat in Dibrugarh.
