Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs, three persons have been arrested by Mizoram Police for allegedly being involved in drug trafficking in Selesih near Aizawl.
Acting on a tip off, Assam Rifles in collaboration with Excise and Narcotics department, Aizawl conducted an anti drugs operation at Selesih near Aizawl.
During the operation, 50 soap cases of Heroin (653 gm) were recovered.
The Approximate cost of the recovered Heroin is Rs 3.26 crore.
Moreover, two vehicles, one bike Yamaha R 15 bearing registration number MZ 01T 6196 and another a Hyundai Getz Car bearing registration number MZ 01 E 4367 were also seized from the their possession.
The three arrested persons and seized items were handed over to the Excise and Narcotics Department, Aizawl.
