Veteran Actor Vikram Gokhale Passes Away At 77
Guwahati: Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale breathed his last at the age of 77 on Saturday.
Vikram Gokhale had been receiving treatment at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune for the previous few days following health issues.
He reportedly experienced a variety of problems including heart and renal failure as well as other organ problems.
The actor, who is well-known for his work in “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” and “Bhool Bhulaiyaa,” remained in serious condition today after his health continued to deteriorate.
His final rituals will be performed at 6 pm at Vaikunth Samshan Bhumi in Pune, and his body will be stored at Balgandharv Rangmanch for Antim Darshan.
Actor Gokhale has appeared in numerous of Marathi and Bollywood films, including “Agneepath” (1990), “Bhool Bhulaiya” (2007), “Natsamrat” (2015), and “Mission Mangal.” Gokhale is equally at home in theatre, television, and movies (2019).
The veteran actor continued to perform, but in 2010, he made his long-awaited directing debut with the Marathi movie “Aaghaat.”
He stopped performing on stages in February 2016 due to a throat condition, but he kept working in films. This year, he costarred in “Nikamma” with Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Dassani.
His latest release is the Marathi film “Godavari”.
