Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a ragpicker has been killed after being hit by an army truck in Guwahati on Saturday.
The accident took place at Lalmati of the city.
According to reports, the truck bearing the registration number 12D187489 was moving towards Khanapara from Jalukbari when the terrible accident occurred.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
However, it is suspected that the woman was of around 50-years-old.
Upon receiving information, Basistha Police arrived at the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination.
Moreover, the truck involved in the accident was seized by the officials.
