BCCI Sets Guinness World Record For Biggest Attendance In T20 Match

Guwahati: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Sunday that the largest T20 match attendance has been inscribed into the Guinness Book of World Records.

The Indian Cricket Board set the record on May 29 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 championship game.

Over 100,000 spectators attended the Gujarat Titans vs. Rajasthan Royals game, which is the most ever for a cricket game.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah took to his official Twitter handle to share the news of the new world record and wrote, “A proud moment for everyone as India creates the Guinness World Record. This one is for all our fans for their unmatched passion and unwavering support. Congratulations to @GCAMotera and @IPL (sic).”
