Guwahati: The Tripura Police on Sunday arrested two persons for allegedly running a drug business.
The detainees identified as Gobinda Nath (23) and Ashwi Reang (21).
According to reports, both of them were nabbed from a market in Kanchanpur city after Kanchanpur police conducted a raid after receiving reliable inputs.
The Kanchanpur police recovered 21 containers of brown sugar and Rs 650 in cash from the duo.
The duo ran the drug business from a mobile repairing shop.
The operation was led by officer-in-charge Udayan Debbarma of Kanchanpur police station.
Police informed that the duo will be produced before the Dharmanagar District Court.
