Guwahati: As many as 50 houses including business establishment were gutted in a massive fire on Tuesday afternoon in Tinsukia district of Assam.
According to reports, the incident took place in Digboi’s Powai market.
Reportedly, the extraordinary fire that later extended to many nearby homes caused multiple cylinders to explode.
Reports further stated that the fire destroyed goods worth lakhs.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, a number of fire tenders arrived at the scene and were successful to douse the fire.
