Guwahati: Violent clashes erupted between activists of the ruling BJP and prime opposition CPI-M in Tripura on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident took place at Charilam Bazar area where several workers of both sides were left injured.
According to reports, the incident occurred where the opposition CPI-M was holding a political program.
The video footage from the spot shows massive stone pelting, brick batting and bomb blasts.
A large number of security people have been dispatched in the area to deal with the issue and injured workers have been rushed to the nearest hospital.
