Guwahati: Section 144 CrPC enforced along the Chumoukedima-Peren border by the Commissioner of Police of Dimapur, Kevithuto Sopjie, IPS, due to the violation of law and order there and to prevent loss of life and property.

The Commissioner has forbidden the carrying of any deadly weapons and arms, including lathis, daggers/machetes, sticks, spears, catapults, and other dangerous objects, along the highway stretch between Vihuto Village and Khehoyi Village, as well as along the Chumoukedima-Peren Border Belt, according to an official statement.

The order will be in force starting at 6:00 AM on December 1, 2022, and it will continue to be so until further notice.
