Guwahati: A youth was kidnapped by unidentified miscreants in Jorhat district of Assam on Wednesday night.
The youth was identified as Amarjyoti Prasad.
According to reports, Amarjyoti was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified individuals from Jorhat railway station.
Reportedly, the kidnappers are calling the family members of the youth and demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh for his release.
Following which, the family members, lodged a complaint with the police.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
